growth gravity

Installation view of Growth Gravity from The Scent of Rain on Dry Earth curated by Andrew Thompson, Detroit Artists Market, January 15 -February 13, 2016. Video loops on four video monitors, 1 video projection on acrylic, 2 archival pigment prints, 24 x 36 in. each, and black padded viewing mat on floor.

The exhibition brings together artworks that attempt to capture ineffable truths of lived experience. These artworks utilize earthly and tactile materials & imagery to convey the phenomenology of knowledge through embodied sensation.
